cycling the height of Everest in one go. We have some exciting news to share too as we have signed a major sponsorship deal with Brighton & Hove Albion FC which will see much more of our now famous lime green at the Amex. There is a fantastic prize on offer in our competition this issue which will see one lucky reader and their guest enjoy a meal for two and an overnight stay in Brighton’s hottest new hotel. We had sunshine (and I still have the vague semblance of a ‘t-shirt tan’ to prove it), we have had a change of Prime Minister and the country has voted to leave the EU. Interesting times are ahead for all of us. On the cover this issue is the legendary Dick Knight who might be better known locally for his time at the Albion. Football aside he is full of interesting stories so we sent Laurence out to meet him at home and talk to him about his early days; football and that world famous Wonderbra advert. Dick Knight isn’t the only celeb that Laurence has been mixing with this summer, he had lunch with World Cup legend Sir Geoff Hurst and managed to steal a kiss from lingerie model and businesswoman Caprice. I’ve had to step up to the mark this issue as unfortunately Liza has had a lengthy period of illness, which thankfully she has recovered from, although I have to also report that this will be her last with us as she jets off to a new life in France. She will be missed in Re: Towers but we wish her the very best. My girlfriend Jo has been dragged out to help me do a couple of reviews for this issue including a luxurious overnight stay at the fabulous Blanch House hotel in Kemp Town and a truly sumptuous multi-course dining experience at th e excellent Jetty on Brighton’s seafront (the picture above is me with their wonderful head waiter Jonny). I can whole heartedly recommend both. Our colleague Karin has kindly shared her experiences from her recent trip to Rome and our Chairman Dean has written about two of his recent cycling challenges including ‘Everesting’ which in essence is Our regular contributors have continued their good work and I managed to convince one of the leading authorities on Thomas Paine to write a little about this fascinating figure’s time in Lewes. I would like to personally thank all those that have written something for us. Without you this would be a very thin publication. Chris Ketley from accountants Knill James may have taken his copy of our great magazine to the furthest place it has ever been - Tromsø in Norway which is considered the northernmost city in the world and is 217 miles inside the Artic Circle! If you take a copy of the magazine on your travels then please send us a pic. As we head into autumn it is time to dust off the jumpers and see how long you can hold off firing up the central heating system. Harvest, Halloween and Bonfire Night all herald that winter is coming and we will be busy getting the next issue ready for you. As always we have included some really informative pieces in this issue from a few of our expert solicitors on areas of the law that we think will be both interesting and helpful. If there are any particular legal topics you would like covered in a future issue then please let me know. This is now our 16th issue and although a lot of work goes into each issue the team here also have a lot of fun putting it together for you. We would love to get your opinion on Re: Magazine so that we can make sure that we continue to produce content that you want to read. So if you can spare a few moments please drop me a line or visit our Facebook page. Jason Edge Editor It’s always a bit manic in the Re: Magazine office around deadline and we occasionally miss the odd typo so if you spot one, do let me know.
