when taking some risky sand dives.
With the sun setting low in the sky by
7.30pm and increasing wind speeds, our
next game against Old Bailey Solicitors
was a challenge and we narrowly won
with a score of 14-11. Unfortunately,
our luck ended there as we lost our next
game against Wooley Bevis Diplock LLP,
and we did not therefore qualify for the
finals.
Win win
My fellow lime green champions and I
then retreated to the outdoor decking
area of the venue where we continued
our fantastic evening, networking
and chatting to fellow colleagues and
professionals over a barbecue dinner.
The tournament concluded at 9pm
when the defending champions, Old
Bailey Solicitors, defeated Stiles Harold
Williams in the finals, and were presented
with the Ghulam Hussain Cup, to keep in
their offices for the year.
Crown Office Row confirmed that the

Congratulations to all those who took
part and to my MWB team mates for
their relentless efforts. A special well
done to Aimee Wynne for her team
spirit as she had never played volleyball
before, and to our personal mascot
Emma Parish, who cheered us on from
the side-lines. The event was a great
success for the Rockinghorse appeal
and provided the perfect summer setting
for the firm to maintain and extend its
presence with other Sussex-based
practices.
