As cliche as it is to say, being a part of the greatest country on earth is simply and accurately defined by our liberty and the rights that those liberties provide us. It's this simple concept that makes this country, for all of her faults, such a fantastic place to be.
Where else can we gather as a group and freely discuss any topic we like from guns to politics to world issues and, yes, even boating? How cool is it that we can afford to get together with friends and family and enjoy the activities that bring us all together as a community?
And how humbling is it to think about those fellow Americans who have fought and died to ensure that our freedom remains a beacon of hope and the standard of liberty for the rest of the world to see?
I am solemnly grateful to be born in a country where such freedoms have been earned and so many dreams are possible.
