Don't get a ticket out on the water for life jackets! It is required by law that every boat be equipped with a life jacket that is a US Coast Guard approved type I, II, or III. The life jackets have to fit the intended user properly and must be in serviceable condition. The life jackets must also be readily accessible.

Most boaters will have enough life jackets, but often they will not be coast guard approved, or a fitted type III ski jacket. Often the life jackets will not fit one or more of the passengers on the vessel.

We recommend buying the type II's that come in a vented storage bag for the occupancy rating of the vessel. Then adding type III ski vests for water sports like tubing, skiing, wake boarding. This will make sure you are in compliance with the law, and makes contact with law enforcement a breeze!
