Book Spotlight and Author Interview “900 years of time and space and I've never met someone who wasn't important.”― The 11th Doc- tor I have a few of those that have been hard to write. Not only because of the subject, but wanting to write it in a way that doesn’t over describe nor does it glorify. A few of the hardest ones have been the ‘emotional’ scenes, and trying to make them real and feeling. The hardest ones would be spoilers, unfortunately, but there is one in particular that stands out. In FROZEN HEARTS (a dark fantasy romance in the Blood Intertwined Trilogy, not yet pub- lished) there is one particular part that involves a sadistic king and who he murders. At the beginning is mostly finding the names, but usually, I won’t do too much research. I did look up what are the names of instruments for certain… procedures, so to speak. I used to all the time, but a bit less now. Good ones always make me smile because it makes me happy a reader not only liked my book, but took the time to write a review to let everyone know they liked it. The bad ones (I’ve had one so far) usually crush me at first until I realize I won’t be able to write something that every reader will like. I just kind of move on, and remember why I write.
