Chairman’s Report The first 100 days in the role as Eastern Region Chair have been exciting and rewarding. I would like to congratulate and thank the team from D9675 for putting on a wonderful meeting in Kiama on the weekend of the 5th and 6th August 2017. A great selection of speakers at a great venue. I would like to thank the Pink Umbrella Foundation for their awards of $1000 to six different projects again. These awards are having a huge effect on the attendance at our quarterly meetings, as well as helping our Project Managers achieve their goals. The very special Len Avard award was this year awarded to Miriam Jacka DIK Manager for RAWCS Eastern Region. Miriam was very moved when this award was made and it was so well deserved. Miri- am has dedicated much of her time to RAWCS and Donations in Kind. Our thanks to Miriam for the great work she has done over many years. ELECTION OF OFFICERS – The positions listed below were to be filled by election at this Annual General Meeting to serve in the Rotary Year 2018/2019. The indicated Nominations are the only ones received and these all have the endorsement of the Gov- ernor Elect of the nominee's District. This is necessary to cover the costs of running the RAWCS program. 3 FUTURE GENERAL MEETINGS I am looking for- ward to our next meeting on 18th and 19th Novem- ber 2017 at The Entrance hosted by D9685 ar- ranged by Jan Pryor and her team. Note the General Meeting will start at 8:30am on the Sunday 19 th . This will al- low the Management Meeting to be held after the General Meeting. Bookings to be made online using TryBook- ing. (There will not be a Management Meeting between the August and November General Meetings) Next Meetings: Dates of following General Meetings to be arranged by appropriate Districts: D9650 (February 2018), D9700 (May 2018) and D9710 (August 2018). I will be at a Rotary Foundation Million Dol- lar Dinner in Port Macquarie on the Satur- day 18 th November so I will be an apology for the Saturday meeting. I will however be at The Entrance on Sunday morning at 8.30am to Chair the General Meeting fol- lowed by the Management meeting. Special thank you to the Project Managers for the work they do with their RAWCS Pro- jects. Thanks also to the support people who make these projects happen.
