When your UCAS
application meets the
requirements of the
course it’s time to
start preparing your
4 ////
portfolio.
We recommend your portfolio to be A3–A1 in size.
It should include:
// The development of ideas, concepts and visual
experiments (these can often be found in your
sketchbook)
// Examples of Graphic Design related research,
particularly in composition and typography
// Finished (Graphic Design related) projects
// Personal work: self initiated and/or extracurricular
Consider the selection and presentation of your work
carefully. If you need to photograph your work make
sure to do it in a space with plenty of light. Be wary of
shadows, focus and odd angles.
Be confident in your ability to select instead of
showing everything you’ve ever made.
