We run an extensive industry project and events programme to encourage collaboration between our students , industry partners and potential employers . Just one of these is shown below .
Marks and Spencer Every year , the M & S Packaging and Technology team set a brief for our second year BA ( Hons ) Design Products students . The brief : design a box . But think outside it .
There ’ s one winner each year . The lucky designer wins a six month paid placement at M & S , including travel to suppliers and trade shows both nationally and internationally . It ’ s an invaluable prize .
Ravensbourne student Balazs Kovacs previously entered the competition with his easy-to-recycle pizza boxes which made from corrugated card . They reduced weight from 24 to 17 grams and reduced material usage by 30 %.
