The MDes experience centres on a practice-based approach . Students develop their ability to question , challenge and engage in current debates whilst interacting with organisations , speakers and peers .
You will explore the strategic use of design and its application as a tool to create innovative business models , brands and services , improve systems and develop better professional practices – all within the framework of sustainability .
We use an action research approach to course assignments , bringing together cross-disciplinary projects with client led live briefs . These centre on design thinking as a method for creating new services , responding to new needs , delivering organisational and brand solutions and developing new forms of stakeholder and customer engagement .
