Discussing Veganism With Your Child’s Teacher Veganism is a choice we and our families make for a variety of rea- sons, but when we move beyond the walls of our home it can be much harder to get others on board. One area of resistance may be your child’s teacher. The teacher is accustomed to looking out for students’ health and well-being, and this includes keeping an eye on what they eat during the day. With veganism being more widely accepted, con- versations with teachers and caregivers about our child’s diet may be a lot easier than it would have been previously. However, educating the educator on what veganism is and how to support your vegan child’s lifestyle can be much harder than one might think.
