1840-50, “sporting” an urn with bird activity above a cameo of a gentleman hunter
holding his game in a landscape with dogs; the reverse with crossed sabres and long rifles
above a 21 starburst, over an eagle clutching a banner and shield with olive branches
above a tent with soldier, cannonballs and twin cannons. Height 6 in.
418. WHALE IVORY PIE CRIMPER, circa 1850, six-spoke open Greek key wheel
with 3-prong fork above 5 openwork columns, the grip in 2 sections joined by baleen and
silver spacers, the end finial is a clenched fist. Length 8 ¼ in.
