Roffo was born in San Donato , Italy and immigrated to Boston and in the 1980s he studied art at the Vesper George School of Art . He is one of the youngest artists to be designated a “ Copley Master ” by the Copley Society of Boston , and was elected Fellows member of the American Society of Marine Artists and a member of of the Guild of Boston Artists .
