204. JULIO LARRAZ (CUBAN B. 1944), “Hevame Contigo (Take Me With
You)”, gouache on paper, depicts six seated figures in a rowboat against black
background, signed lower right. 14 ½ in. x 23 in.
Born in Cuba, Larraz moved to Miami as a child and later to New York City where he
became known for his mastery of realism in painting, printmaking and sculpting. His
various awards over the years include that of the prestigious Acquisition Prize, Childe
Hassam Fund Purchase Exhibition from the Institute of Arts & Letters in New York.

WALKING STICK, circa 1840, tapering whale ivory knob grip with red scribe lines,
the whalebone twist carving with baleen thread wrapped in the groove, with 3 woven
rings and a 7” section with baleen wrap. Length 36 ¼ in.
