EROTIC PAINTINGS, 2nd half of the 19th Century, watercolor and gouache on silk,
laid down on rice paper, in their original slip case. Shunga were produced between the
16th C. and the 19th C. by ukiyo-e artists, since they sold more easily and at a higher price
than their ordinary work.
