Through her complex brushwork, Packard’s landscapes convey a deep awareness of nuances in
light, color and composition, which heavily attribute to her reputation as the most renowned artist
in the Provincetown Art Colony in Massachusetts. Provenance: Arden Gallery, Boston.
193. JOHN MILLER (British 1931-2002), “Passive Dreams, Summer 1996”, oil on
canvas, signed lower right John Miller. 28 in. x 30 in.
Born in London, Miller gained fame for his idyllic representations of beach scenes in his home
county of Cornwall. During the 1960s, he was elected membership of the Newlyn Society of Artists
