204. JULIO LARRAZ (CUBAN B. 1944), “Hevame Contigo (Take Me With You)”, gouache on paper, depicts six seated figures in a rowboat against black background, signed lower right. 14 ½ in. x 23 in. Born in Cuba, Larraz moved to Miami as a child and later to New York City where he became known for his mastery of realism in painting, printmaking and sculpting. His various awards over the years include that of the prestigious Acquisition Prize, Childe Hassam Fund Purchase Exhibition from the Institute of Arts & Letters in New York.
