Recovery Steps
DRILL THREE TURN AND RUN
Objectives :
1- Turn and run , it is used when the player has lost his position on the court and is far away from the center of the court . 2- This movement is used when the player needs to recover a longer distance .
Execution : 1- After hitting the ball and being outside the singles line . 2- The player turns with the hips and upper body facing the direction he is running , the center of the court . 3- After turning the hips the player should take a drop step , this way he can cover more court . 4- The player recovers by running two to three steps and then he turns and shuffles , he needs to be facing the opponent before he makes contact with the ball .
