Keep On Moving, Don't Stop, No!

A man decides to run a 400m relay race. He has chosen that the last 100m will be run by a woman. She has agreed and boy, she looks fit! The glorious moment arrives, the sun is shining, the crowds are cheering, he feels on top of the world. But still, he has a choice. He can turn back at anytime. He knows that once he completes his 100 metres and passes that baton, the final result is out of his hands. Yet, with every muscle in his virile body, sweating and breathless, caught up in those 11 seconds, he finishes his task. He has run the 100m, the baton has been passed. He could have stopped or never started or refused to pass on the baton knowing he wasn't sure he was putting it into safe hands. But, yes, he passes the baton, resigned to his fate. The race is going well, each runner has run a good race and finally, the baton is placed into the hands of the final runner. After 12m though, she stalls. How did she end up here? She doesn't want that medal! Doesn't want to run a race that she knows will change the whole of the rest of her life. She knows she won't cope. She got caught up in his enthusiasm, ok, yes, was enthusiastic too! But now, with the finish line ahead, drawing the boundary between a life she chooses and a life she has no choice but to live, she hesitates. How many women fought and died for her to be able to choose her own destiny? At this point, men arrive from every side.
