Quest Q&A Magazine Issue 4 2016 - Page 3

From the Desks Of Chairwoman & CEO OpenWorld, again? Can you believe another year has gone by, school has started, college football has kicked-off and OpenWorld (the other major fall occurrence in our lives) is upon us? While the time has flown by, there have been a lot of great things happening in the Quest community, and as you will see, we still have a lot more to do in 2016! RECONNECT and INFOCUS Recap Both RECONNECT16 (for PeopleSoft) and INFOCUS16 (for JD Edwards) had the highest customer attendee satisfaction score over the last 3 years, with scores of 4.45 and 4.36 (out of a possible 5) respectively. Also, 97% of RECONNECT customer attendees indicated that they left the conference more informed and better able to make decisions for their company. These events continue to grow in popularity with their respective communities. Visit us at OpenWorld If you are attending OpenWorld, Quest has several educational and networking sessions occurring during OpenWorld’s User Group Sunday. Check out the OpenWorld app for those session descriptions, times and locations. Also, stop by and see us in the User Group Pavilion! Launch of a New Website We are finalizing the redesign of our website questdirect.org to be much more user friendly and it will launch sometime in November. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to familiarize yourself with the new look and feel of the website, as it is our largest hub for education and networking outside our face-to-face events. Planning for our Future The Quest board continually scans the landscape to ensure Quest’s services are designed to meet the needs of members today and for our members 3 to 5 years from now. We remain fully committed to helping JD Edwards and PeopleSoft customers leverage their current investment while we maintain an eye on the future needs of our members. In addition to the quality JD Edwards and PeopleSoft focused content you have become accustomed Follow us on Twitter to receiving, you will begin seeing more content on business processes topics (i.e. hire to retire, procure to pay and record to report), integration topics (i.e. governance, security, master data management, integration strategies and change management, etc.) and a deeper look at the evolving role of IT and evolving roles within IT. We believe this content will be beneficial to our membership in getting the most out of their current investment in both the short and long-term. Engage with Quest There are so many ways to get involved in the user group. Here are a few simple ways to plug in during the upcoming weeks: Share Your Story We are looking for sessions related to the topics mentioned above. Learn more about COLLABORATE call for presentations (currently open) and consider sharing your story. The selection committee will be placing the highest priority on sessions in which customers share their experiences. If you are having trouble telling your story, please contact Christina Yue or Alyssa Lanter , on the Quest team, for assistance. Call for presentations closes on October 7. Attend SIG Experience Week Quest’s upcoming SIG Experience Week (SXW) is a low barrier entry point for many. Make sure you take advantage of this low cost (time and money) investment. SXW is October 18–20. Give the Gift of Quest The number one reason someone becomes involved with Quest is due to a colleague referral. So, please encourage others to get involved while many companies are in the budgeting process for 2017. We hope to see you soon!
