Making the jump from elementary school to high school can be a daunting time both for your child and for you as a parent . Quebec High School takes into account some practical and emotional considerations about your child ’ s high school education allowing you both to negotiate the transition with ease .. This is a milestone moment in their lives and we want you to enjoy this event !

* Orientation Day
Before we start off the year we invite you and your ch ild to come to the school to meet the staff and get all the administration out of the way prior to bringing in the rest of the students .. A tour of the school and a walk though their schedule help ease first day tensions
* Freshmen Night
This is a special night of ice breaker activities and a supper that the Student Council runs . This evening is usually the first Friday of the school year . It gives our new students the opportunity to meet new friends and celebrate the first week of life at QHS .
* Peer mentoring
This is a great initiative that pairs each secondary one student with a secondary 5 student . Throughout the year we have special activities planned where our secondary one students will be taught or lead through excercises by their secondary 5 mentor .
* Safe and Secure environment
Cycle one students remain on campus during the noon hour break .
Shelby Meehan Ste-Foy Elementary I was nervous at the begining of the year , but my sister in secondary 5 helped me feel comfortable . I made some friends right away and the teachers were very helpful . I love gym with Mr . Weston !
