COOKS NETWORKING AND WORKSHOP DAY
Date: Wednesday 8 November 2017
Time: 9:00am – 2:30pm
Venue: Sydney Seafood School – Sydney Fish Market, Pyrmont Bridge Road
This special workshop day for cooks in early and middle childhood settings will provide access to new information,
ideas and hands-on cooking opportunities.
The first workshop of the day will be presented by early childhood teacher, mother and blogger Elisha Wildblood
from Nourish.Nurture.Shine, who will offer insight into creating nourishing and wholesome food alongside children,
and will draw on years of experience as a teacher and mother to provide tips, strategies and ideas for cooking for
and with children.
The second workshop of the day, a cooking demonstration, will be presented by Charlotte Paterson, KU Carillon
Avenue Child Care Centre Cook, who will share and demonstrate recipes. Charlotte draws on her experience as a
professional chef, committed and successful ‘kitchen gardener’ and mother to provide new ideas and well-loved
recipes when catering for larger groups of young children.
These workshops will be followed by the opportunity to go into the Sydney Seafood Cooking School and cook in
small groups exploring new recipes, methods and ingredients.
The day will close with a networking lunch that will provide a forum to share recipes and ideas.
This workshop links with National Quality Standard Areas 1 and 2.
