Scholarships are the only means by which many students are able to go to college. NMASBO has made a long-term financial commitment to continue to offer multiple scholarships to graduating high school students throughout New Mexico and in 2018 has expanded that offering!

One of the challenges for NMASBO is to help our schools fill business official positions with highly qualified individuals, especially in rural New Mexico. In order to increase awareness of career opportunities within the field of school finance, our organization chose to provide NMSU and UNM students the opportunity to apply for a one-time $500 scholarship from NMASBO.

The NMASBO Board also rolled out an online platform for applying for our scholarships as well as a new online scoring tool. This streamlined the process
