Board District/Charter/REC: Portales Municipal School District

School Title: Director of Finance/Chief Procurement Officer

Education & Licensure Level: This one is funny because I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. I actually graduated from High School at Simon Sanchez High School in Yigo, Guam. My dad was in the Air Force and had a choice, take your family to Guam or go to Korea. I have two Bachelors Degrees from ENMU in Portales: BS in Psychology and a BS in Computer Science. After getting a job in payroll at ENMU-Roswell, I decided I kind of liked business. After moving back to Portales to raise my son, I went to Clovis Community College and got my Associates in Accounting. I was then eligible to enroll in the MBA program at ENMU in Portales and graduated in 2013. I have the Level II School Business Official licensure and Chief Procurement Licensure.
