2017 Boot Camp

The School Business Boot Camp is an intensive, one-week instruction for individuals new to the school business manager position or for those seeking a comprehensive knowledge of New Mexico public school business. Training will be conducted in a small, relaxed, class setting. In order to receive a certificate of completion the attendee must attend all of the sessions.

This year, as part of the transition, Terry Dean will be co-facilitating the Boot Camp with me. Now, that’s exciting! After reviewing the 2016 Boot Camp surveys closely, the NMASBO staff, Terry Dean and I met to draft the schedule for the week and presented it to the NMASBO Board for approval at their August meeting. As a step towards continuous improvement, a few new training topics have been added and a few dropped off. In an effort to recognize the value of your time out of your offices, we continue to place time in the schedule for you to communicate with your office and take care of the business at hand.
