Success…ion Planning

Over the past 13 years, I have been privileged and blessed to serve NMASBO as your Executive Director. It is truly amazing how quickly time flies when you are having fun!

Although I have not finished my journey with NMASBO, I have announced that I will be officially retiring June 30, 2018.

Over the next 24 months, there is still much work to be done. I will be working closely with the NMASBO Board of Directors and staff to ensure we have a succession plan in place that is effective and seamless as we move NMASBO forward upon my exit. Your NMASBO Board is truly committed to continuing its Mission;

To lead the New Mexico school business profession by providing quality professional development opportunities and a network of support.

NMASBO is your recognized leader in school business management and trusted expert in providing quality professional development, resources and information.

We are committed to continue the enhancement of training and providing relevant information and a network of support for all of our school districts and charter schools throughout the state.

During March 4-5, the NMASBO Board of Directors met for over 16 hours to set the agenda for this year’s strategic planning session. They reviewed accomplishments of the past year and looked at the challenges and opportunities they will face during the 2016-2017 school year. A timeline for Succession Planning was developed and proposed changes to the NMASBO Constitution and Bylaws were updated to reflect its current organizational make-up. These proposed changes will be brought to the membership in the fall of 2016 for approval at the General Membership Meeting.

Fall Conference Training Topic Suggestions

If you have any suggestions for regulatory training topics you would like to see presented at the 2016 Fall Conference, please submit them to me ASAP at [email protected]. I will get your suggestions to our Training Committee for consideration. We need your input as we begin to schedule topics and presenters.

I look forward to my continued service over the next 24 months! NMASBO has become an extended family with a wealth of resources and support for one another. Keep up the great work that you all do so well for the students, teachers and schools throughout New Mexico.
