We are finalizing plans for another excellent conference and we again used the input of members when we planning and arrange the sessions and speakers for the upcoming conference. We will have another pre-conference session scheduled for Visions similar to the one we had at the 2015 Fall Conference.
Our first session has a great motivational speaker, Garrison Wynn. He has spoken at numerous other ASBO conferences to great reviews. We have sessions scheduled with updates from PED on Maintenance of Effort (MOE) and the new capital outlay module, as well as charter school transportation.
NMSPIA will make a presentation on risk/insurance and POMS will present on FMLA and FLSA. We are very happy to have the State Auditor Tim Keller providing updates on audit issues found on the most recent school audits.
We will have presentations on the school program, MEDICAID, GASB, technology in schools, PSFA session on E-builder, uniform grant management, bonding, cash reports preparation and impact on your operating budget and sessions on preparing for your audit and district and charter rights.
We have scheduled roundtable discussions on AESOP, furniture prioritizations, and round table best practices for purchasing and P-cards. These roundtable discussions are similar to what you see at International ASBO.
Finally, we have our ever popular sessions from APTA and Visions scheduled. We look forward to seeing you in Albuquerque!
