Finally, we are already gearing up for our biggest Social Responsibility Campaign of this Fiscal Year. Spring Budget Workshop gives us the greatest chance to make a huge impact because it is the largest conference supported by NMASBO. It includes many superintendents, principals, charter school leaders and additional personnel who do not normally attend Fall or Winter Conferences. As such we wanted to pick an organization that makes a tremendous contribution to others. We had the honor of having one business manager personally contact us with her suggestion of an organization to support. Rather than put words in her mouth, I would rather share her correspondence with you:
Dear NMASBO Board,
As you consider which charitable organizations to support going forward, I have one that is very close to my heart and that is Make-A-Wish Foundation of NM. My son was granted a wish in March of 2015. It was something that changed his life and our entire family's. NM Make a Wish is able to spend 92% of all money raised on wishes!
I know there are a TON of other worthy campaigns that we can contribute to but I did want to put this one out there!

Many charitable organizations depend on receiving the bulk of their donations and support during the holiday season. NMASBO is excited that our three annual conferences provide our Social Responsibility Campaign an opportunity to give back to our New Mexico communities in a combined effort three times a year outside that normal season. We had great success with our Fall Social Responsibility Campaign and are confident that we can do even better for Winter and Spring!
