New Mexico school business officials are always doing fantastic things everyday across the entire state. From helping out the student who forgot lunch that day to volunteering their time at the local food bank, our generosity knows no limit. NMASBO is extremely excited to channel this generosity into a visible group effort with our Social Responsibility Campaign.

This past Fall Conference, we came together as a team and made a big difference for children. We chose to support the Coats for Kids program in Las Cruces. Despite the very short notice that members were provided, we were able to collect about 30 used and new coats and raised nearly $750. The NMASBO Board of Directors chose to match the donations received from the membership and exhibitors, bringing the total money raised to $1,519.32! For every $10 raised they are able to provide a coat. That means that our contribution to the Coats for Kids program in Las Cruces will provide approximately 180 coats for children in the Doña Ana County area a very impressive start for our Social Responsibility Campaign!

Our next Social Responsibility Campaigns…

This Winter Conference, we have decided to continue to provide coats for children. However, this time we are supporting Koats for Kids. This give us another chance to help children who are in need of warm coats, but has the advantage of being a statewide effort. Your contributions of coats and money will go towards helping children in every pocket and corner of New Mexico.

There are three ways you can support:

1. Coin Drive: Please bring any loose change (or even cash) that you are willing to donate. Your monetary contributions go a long way towards meeting the needs of children.

2. Bring Coats: Any size and type will do. We are not fashion snobs!

3. Do BOTH: No need to feel pigeonholed into doing one or the other. Do as much as your generosity allows!
