raw materials, as well as their transportation to site where they are lifted and placed, levelled, and grouted to complete the floor structure. The company’s teams are able to install a precast concrete element every six minutes to complete the floor in a matter of a few hours. In most instances, building teams are able to start working at that level almost immediately after the floor structure has been installed, shaving weeks off the construction programme. Conversely, rib-and-block systems are installed by the building contractor’s own teams, with CoreSlab’s responsibility ending with the timely delivery of the various precast concrete elements to the project site. They comprise lintels, or ribs, and hollow block sections. The ribs are placed between the load-bearing walls, and the blocks span the ribs to complete the shutter.
