School Liaison Program 2034 Barnett Ave., 703.784.4729, [email protected] The SLP is a great resource for military families with children in grades K-12. This program assists military families with information and resources on Virginia K-12 education. In addition to family services, SLP collaborates with different schools in the area to support their mission of educating both military and civilian students. SLP also works closely with the Virginia Department of Education to improve policies affecting the education and graduation rates of incoming military students. The Quantico School Liaison Program services families with students attending Quantico Base schools, Fredericksburg City, Spotsylvania County, Stafford County, and Prince William County schools. PARTNERS IN EDUCATION (PIE) - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES The PIE program is an initiative that enhances the connections between the military, schools, and the civilian community, and helps military children/youth succeed in school, be better prepared for the future, and fit in their local community. Working as a team, educators and military professionals can provide the most precious resource: an enriching education experience for mobile military children/youth. This joint effort becomes a “win- win” situation for both parties with the ultimate winner being the military children/youth. If you are interested in volunteering in local schools, please visit www.volgistics.com. PIE EVENT WITH QUANTICO MIDDLE HIGH SCHOOL Fri, 15 Mar, 0930-1030 There will be a PIE resource fair in the Quantico Middle High School (QMHS) Warrior Café.
