Providing engaging workshops that equip participants with the knowledge and tools they will need to navigate the military lifestyle is the ultimate goal of the L.I.N.K.S. program. Volunteer opportunities consist of mentoring, office support, session support and hospitality. Build your resume, meet new people, and make a difference in your community. The Quantico Volunteer Information Center provides approved volunteers the means to control their volunteer experience. Registered users can use the site 24 hours a day, seven days a week to quickly locate volunteer opportunities, sign up for volunteer events and activities, track hours, print reports for award purposes, and earn hours for recognition at the MCBQ Volunteer Appreciation Event held each April at The Clubs at Quantico. FAMILY READINESS ADVISOR/ASSISTANT TRAINING Wed, 16 Jan, 0900-1400, LH, Potomac Room The roles and responsibilities of the Command Team Advisor(s) focus on support, advocacy, and mentorship. The Family Readiness Assistants will compliment and support the Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) or Uniformed Readiness Coordinator (URC), in the execution of the Commander’s vision and intent. FAMILY CARE PLAN Fri, 18 Jan, 1130-1230, LH, Potomac Room This workshop will provide you with an understanding of the Family Care Plans policy and information on how to develop one. When everything is taken care of at home, Marines can concentrate more on the mission, be more productive and energetic, feel less family related stress, and be “Ready”. What does your family need to know in case of an emergency? Come out and learn about all the documents that goes into a Family Care Plan.
