with EFMP staff and base entities. to persons with disabilities aboard our base, identify
problem areas, make suggestions to improve existing
facilities, and to establish new programs and facilities
where needed.
RESPITE CARE OVERVIEW

Provides information to support families interested in
receiving respite care reimbursement with an overview
of care eligibility, purpose, and other information to
help qualified families use the program successfully.
Individual sessions can be scheduled if this time does

BLACK HISTORY MONTH
The observance of African American/Black History
Month was established by Public Law 99-244. This
observance runs through the month of February and
celebrates the contributions of African Americans
to our nation.
The theme for 2019, was provided by the Association
for the Study of African American Life and History, is
“Black Migrations,” and emphasizes the movement
of people of African descent to new destinations and
subsequently to new social realities.
The theme focuses especially on the 20th century
through today. The man’s silhouette consist of
numerous images of African Americans from all
walks of life; inventors, scientist, military members,
astronauts, actors/actresses, politicians, sports figures
and others. Some members include an icon of their
key invention, an aspect of their profession or life, or
a key historical location.
