ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN ’ S EDUCATION ( ACE ) EDUCATION SERIES 8 MAY , 0900-1100 , VEC ACE Parent series is suitable for any parent , guardian , or sponsor supporting a child who is receiving special services at school . There will be an overview of PCS moves with an Individual Education Plan ( IEP ).
RESPITE CARE OVERVIEW 8 MAY , 1100-1300 VEC RM 12 Respite Care Overview is for sponsors and spouses with EFMP enrolled dependents . This educational brief provides information to support families interested in receiving Respite Care reimbursement , with an overview of respite care eligibility , purpose , and other information to help qualified families use the program successfully . Individual sessions may be scheduled if this time does not meet the client need .
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRANSITION SERVICES 9 MAY , 0900-1100 , VEC An informative workshop for youth and young adults , facilitated by a representative of the Virginia Division of Rehabilitative Services .
EFMP SUPPORT GROUP 17 MAY , 1000-1100 , NPSP This support group offers a nurturing environment for families with special needs , dependents , or the adult caregiver . Support , guidance , networking opportunities and acessibility to resources are some of the foundations of the group .
FAMILY FORUM & SPRING CRAFTS 17 MAY , 1730-1930 , RFSC Share your thoughts , ideas , and concerns with the EFMP staff and base entities , then join us for a night of making spring crafts to take home . It ’ s a great way for families to laugh , play and bond . Make memories that will last a lifetime . Childcare will be available on-site for the Forum portion .
