Management students from QMU
have fulfilled a lifetime dream to work
overseas, thanks to the Moffat Trust
Scholarship Fund. A core part of the programme is a nine month
placement in industry. The Fund helps ensure
that all students, irrespective of their financial
background, have equal access to achieving
an overseas placement, should they wish to
pursue this option.
The Moffat Charitable Trust has made a
generous donation of £50,000 to QMU to
set up the Fund and help students gain
study-related work experience in some of
the world’s most prestigious hospitality and
tourism venues. Each year until 2024, five selected QMU
students will receive up to £1,000 towards
the cost of their overseas industry placement.
Kevin Scott, Cameron Simpson, Miroslava
Bajzikova and Ryan Paterson made
successful applications to the Fund to help
finance their industry placements in New York,
Connecticut and
