Application and selection
If your deferral request is not approved , you will be welcome to submit a fresh application the following year . We only offer the option of a one year deferral , unless the applicant has extenuating circumstances preventing them from beginning their course for two years , such as compulsory national service .
Part-time provision and application
Provision is available for you to progress on a part-time basis through a certain number of the QMU ’ s full-time degree courses . For part-time courses you should apply directly to QMU and not through UCAS . Please contact Admissions for information .
Health
Some courses require specific medical information as a condition of entry and this is detailed in the relevant course entries in the prospectus . QMU is not responsible for any fees or payments incurred by students in obtaining evidence of state of health .
Criminal convictions
All applicants are asked to disclose criminal convictions to help safeguard the welfare of our students . Applicants for certain courses of study must declare all criminal convictions , and in these cases the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 does not apply . Candidates for healthcare courses will be asked to provide a satisfactory criminal record check from the Protecting Vulnerable Groups ( PVG ) scheme as part of their application . This arises from UK Government legislation , and will apply to all courses of this nature .
