How important are the smaller details
in a big project like this?
“I call it ‘the bling’. We’re trying to
achieve a quality build and if you put
the right appliances in – sinks, tapware
– it gives buyers peace of mind.
Something like this is a huge purchase
for people so they want to make sure
it’s going to be a worthwhile asset.”

Are there any key features you
consider a highlight?
“We use Franke top-mount sinks and
there are a couple of reasons for this.
You still get a slimline sink but you also
mitigate the risk of damaging
the benchtop – undermount sinks
are prone to edge chipping. They
also look good and are really practical
for compact apartment living – there’s
a removable drainer tray that slides
back and forth so that when you’re not
using it, you cover the sinkhole and
retain your bench space.”
