Hugh Roberts Q Parent (yr 7) Quirister Tour to Belfast Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 December 2016 Europa Hotel, where we were in a concert alongside the Schola Cantorum (with whom we sang in the cathedral), Fra Fee, Colette Lennon, Karl McGuckin and Niamh Perry, with Conor Mitchell as Musical Supervisor. The Quiristers went to W5, the home of Robothespian, one of the most advanced robots in the world. Finally, we took a visit to the Belfast Christmas market, where there was a new food smell every other step! All in all, it was an amazing trip!   At the end of the eventful and busy Christmas term, the Quiristers went on tour to Belfast. We stayed in the Europa Hotel, possibly the most prestigious hotel in Belfast, used as a base during ‘The Troubles’. During the tour, we sang in the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Belfast. It was one of the most colourful cathedrals most of us had ever seen! We sang the Haydn Little Organ mass, and Tristan Wigley and Angus Benton’s solo verses lifted the roof off the cathedral. The same evening we also sang in one of the ballrooms of the Thomas Sharrock, Quirister (yr, 8) Belfast Christmas Market 12
