three, this is certainly the case for me. After a summer at
home, my kids are now fully back into the swing of
another year, learning new things and making new
friends.

what they have to say.
When it comes to volunteering,
“you get out more than you put in” is
both cliché and absolutely true. Everything I volunteer for rewards
me with so much joy, discovery and positive energy. When I coach my kids’ baseball
and soccer teams, I’m inspired by watching the team develop and grow closer together
over the course of just a handful of games and practices. I then bring that spirit of
camaraderie and leadership with me to my role at Kohler. Volunteering on the ISPA
Board provides me with fresh ideas, new perspectives and a cadre of colleagues whom
I know I can use as sounding boards. In turn, the lively discussion and honest feedback
I get from them informs my own decision-making, both professionally and personally.
I want to again congratulate the four new Board members on joining the team! Their
voices, views and values will help drive the industry forward, and their contributions to
