AccorHotels announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire 85 percent 1 of 21c Museum Hotels, an award-winning hospitality management company pushing the boundaries of the museum and hotel worlds to create a new kind of travel experience. 21c Museum Hotels will join AccorHotels’ MGallery collection of boutique hotels, marking the introduction of the MGallery into the North American market. 2 2. The American College of Healthcare Sciences will host a four-day, four-night workshop entitled Kona Aromatherapy Workshop: Current Issues in Aromatherapy, November 4-9 at the college’s satellite campus in Kona, Hawaii. The workshop, led by Dorene Petersen, features several days of small-group workshops on topics like essential oil chemistry, safety, quality assessment, client intakes, and therapeutic aromatherapy blending including blending for aromatherapy reflexology. 3 3. Kohler Co. announced plans to expand its Kohler Waters Spa offering with a second location in the Chicago area at Lincoln Common. Their new location will feature 21 treatment rooms spread across two floors. The spa will also offer luxurious indoor and outdoor relaxing areas, a manicure and pedicure finishing salon, a hair salon, and, most notably, a Hydromassage Pool in the Thermal Suite. Water is a central theme in every Kohler Waters Spa, with special attention paid to hydrotherapy experiences. 2. Opening Fall 2019, the Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck, located in Rhinebeck, NY, will be the Mirbeau Companies newest addition. This property will consist of 50 guestrooms, the 12,000-square-foot Spa Mirbeau and fitness center, 3,000 square feet of meeting and conference space and Mirbeau’s Bistro & Wine Bar. 3. Opening this winter, milk + honey will open their first Dallas/Fort Worth spa, located in The Shops at Clearfork. Growing the milk + honey portfolio to four spas and six salons, the new 7,800 square-foot location will offer the brand’s full range of signature spa treatments and salon services in a comfortable yet luxurious environment.
