he June Snapshot Survey covered social media use for ISPA members. The last Snapshot
Survey to cover social media was the March 2012 survey, so it was interesting to see how
much more popular social media marketing has become over time. Notable usage changes
include 40 percent of all spas using LinkedIn as a business tool in June of 2017, compared to just 31
percent in 2012.

However, the most noteworthy change is Instagram, which was still in its infancy in 2012, and is
now used by 80 percent of all spa respondents and 76 percent of resource partner respondents.
