THE FAREWELL PARTY WHEN YOU THINK OF THE SPA INDUSTRY, you probably don’t immediately associate it with baseball. this year, Ispa set out to change that by partnering with Chase field to provide attendees with a special farewell party experience that proved to be a uniquely fitting end to a jubilant week of ONE OF THE BEST PARTS OF CELEBRATING our week at Chase Field was the multi-dimensional nature of the venue. Not only were there dozens of tables for attendees to gather over delicious ballpark food, but the bars and dance floor made for an especially lively time as the Arizona Diamondbacks vanquished the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-2. The event drew record interest and participation from ISPA attendees, and we’d like to thank everyone for their patience as we checked everyone into the 50 PULSE ■ November 2018 Farewell Party. Though the D-Backs were out of the playoff race, there was still a buzz in the open-roofed stadium due in large part to the presence of the locally-notorious Dodger fans. In their final home game of the season, Arizona put on a show for all in attendance. After falling down 0-2 in the first two innings, some impressive hitting put the hometown team back up 3-2. A three-run homer and another solo slam in the later innings put L.A.’s hopes of a comeback to rest, and the Diamondbacks prevailed over the playoff- hungry Dodgers in an action-packed game. For guests, however, the action was just beginning. It only took a few brief moments for the enthusiastic attendees to begin the official afterparty. True to form, the dance floor was packed with everyone who had energy to spare. Friends reunited, colleagues discovered each other’s fun sides and lasting memories were made as ISPA attendees—and ISPA board members—danced the night away.
