World Wellness Weekend, founded by Jean-Guy de Gabriac of ISPA member Tip Touch International, released details around the fourth edition of the two-day wellness event. Taking place this fall on September 19 and 20, World Wellness Weekend aims to raise the profile of wellness through fun, unique activities at spas around the world. 1 2 New initiatives for 2020 include an increased emphasis on inclusion and making wellness accessible to those with disabilities and/or special needs, as well as providing wellness support for healthcare providers in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Says de Gabriac, “We encourage venues participating in World Wellness Weekend to invite nurses for a special fitness or mindfulness event, or organize a 60-minute wellness workshop for nurses and doctors in their local hospital or clinic.” Spas can learn more about the event and register to participate at world-wellness-weekend.org. 2. Four Seasons announced the launch of “Take the Leap”, a three-part podcast series spotlighting tangible transformation through travel. Following the release of a global survey looking at varying perspectives on the value of time, Four Seasons further explores how travelers can make the most of this year’s 366 days, through dynamic conversations with global adventurers. Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit will host its 2020 Wellness Getaway from May 1-3, featuring industry experts, fitness classes, self-awareness 3 4 workshops, sessions on superfood and other mindful wellness activities. All special Wellness Getaway activities are included complimentary in the resort’s nightly rate. 4. BABOR announced that their products would now be available for purchase at select Neiman Marcus stores as well as online at neimanmarcus.com. BABOR will retail more than 17 products at Neiman Marcus, including the new Doctor BABOR Power Serum Ampoules. 5. Saltability has expanded its reach in the United Kingdom through a partnership with Ellisons, the UK’s leading supplier of furniture, fixtures, equipment and niche brands for salons and spas in the U.K. The Saltability partnership complements Ellisons’ recent launch of the range of eco-friendly products, promotion of elimination of single-use plastics within the supply chain and dedication to products that are ethically sourced and produced. 6. Dazzle Dry’s manufacturing company VB Cosmetics participated in a photoshoot as part of a campaign to highlight manufacturing success happening across the nation. VB Cosmetics was selected for the photo- shoot because of recent projects lead by Arizona MEP experts to help the company fulfill its strategic goals.
