NORTH EAST REGIONAL SALES MANAGER • JAN MARINI SKIN RESEARCH INC. • BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
When Jaclyn luongo Was 11-years-old, she walked through the doors of
Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics and enjoyed her first facial. It was on this visit
with her aunt that made her fall in love with the experience, the smells, the energy
and the environment. from that moment on, Jaclyn knew what she wanted to do
when she grew up. this powerful manifestation fueled a passion that
has led to a rewarding life and 18 years in the spa industry.
“My aunt was the director of the evening clinic throughout
most of my young life,” says jaclyn, “so I was constantly
exposed to everything beauty- and makeup-related. When
I got older, I attended a community college and then
signed up for the Spa Program at Catherine Hinds
Institute–the very same place my passion had been
conceived! Signing up was one of the best decisions I have
made in my life.
“I started off practicing at a well-known spa that taught
me sales skills that I use to this day. Throughout the years, I
enhanced my skills by working with the Miss Massachusetts Pageant
and as a guest artist for Chanel for several years. After opening a skin therapy practice
in a wellness center, I shifted my path and explored an opportunity to work with a
beauty distributor. This allowed me the chance
to travel all over Europe and to 42 states in
nine years as the Senior Director of Esthetics. I
feel humbled to have taught and learned from
so many talented spa professionals.
“My career brought me back to where I
started, and for six years I was blessed to act as
the Director of Career Services at Catherine
Hinds Institute. not only was I able to mentor
the next generation of estheticians, but I was
also able to volunteer with the Look Good Feel
Better Program and Dress for Success with my
students. I love what I do and all the people I
have the chance to work with and support! I am
so excited to continue to grow within the
industry and be part of the evolution!” n
