THINGS AND TO BRING BRING: 1. AN EXTRA BAG One word, two syllables: samples. Between ISPA’s famed Room Drops, items included in the Registration Bag and samples given out on the Expo Floor, you’ll likely be heading back with more than you came with. An extra bag, like a duffle you can store in your bag on the flight to Vegas, will come in handy. 2. PRACTICAL SHOES Hey, we all like looking good, and yes, those shoes are very cute. But you know what aren’t cute? Blisters. Be kind to your future self and bring a good, dependable pair of comfortable shoes that you can easily switch to throughout the day. Your feet will thank you. 3. YOUR I.D. You’ll be required to have your I.D. (such as a driver’s license or a passport) on you to be admitted to the Welcome Party on the first night of conference. Don’t leave your room without it! TO LEAVE AT HOME DON’T BRING: 1. A BATHING SUIT The Welcome Party may be taking place at TAO Beach, but that doesn’t mean that it’s going to a sun-and-swim affair. Attire for the event is smart casual, and there won’t be any swimming. You know that game where kids pretend the ground is lava? Well, the pool is lava. 2. MOISTURIZER I know, I know: we all work in spa and moisturizers are our best friends. But you’ll be at a spa conference—before you even realize your hands are dry you’ll have a dozen different moisturizers to try out. And besides, isn’t test-driving new products half the fun? TOP TIP Restaurant reservations can fill up fast; it’s recommended that you make reservations well in advance. Book extra seats and use it as a challenge to make new friends and invite them along, too. (CONTINUED ON PAgE 50) 4UPQCZCPPUIBU*41"UPMFBSONPSF
