IT PROBABLY ISN’T HARD TO GUESS my
favorite part of the ISPA Conference & Expo. Aside from
General Sessions (who doesn’t get enraptured by our
incredible speakers each year?), I love Auction night.
The excitement. The competition. The amazing items up
for bid. And it’s all for a cause that is near and dear to my
heart: The ISPA Foundation.
The ISPA Foundation is vital to the spa industry’s success.
This one event funds the Foundation’s groundbreaking
research initiatives and scholarship programs that ensure we
have the best of the best in future leaders. This one night
ensures the spa industry’s future is
bright. The ISPA Foundation Live & Silent
Auctions raise the vast majority of the
Foundation’s funds for the year, which is
why I implore each and every one of you
to get involved in the event somehow.
That could mean asking your
company to donate an Auction Item. We
always have excellent product baskets,
experience packages and global getaways
donated by our amazing ISPA members.
You could also ask around to friends
and friends of friends to ensure we have
even more donations at the Auction.
Some donations each year aren’t even from ISPA members but have been acquired because
members know people who care about our industry.
If nothing else, you can place a few bids. Be sure to stop by the Silent Auction during the first
two days of the ISPA Conference & Expo to bid on items that strike your fancy. If you’re unable to
make it to this year’s ISPA Conference, you can bid online by heading to biddingforgood.com and
searching for the 2018 ISPA Foundation Live & Silent Auctions.
If you are in Phoenix, don’t miss the main event: The Live Auction. It will be a fun evening filled
with drinks, competition and raising money for the best possible cause.
