To enjoy your spa experience to the fullest, observe the ISPA Code of Conduct, act responsibly and be aware that common sense and personal awareness can help ensure your satisfaction, comfort and safety, as well as that of others.” — ISPA CODE OF CONDUCT LET’S PAUSE AND TAKE A MOMENT to give some kudos to our past ISPA leadership teams. Over ten years ago, the board approved the ISPA Code of Conduct, which was meant to serve as guidelines both for the spa guest and for the professional about what to expect from each other. The Code empowers guests to be vocal about their spa experience and to open a conversation between themselves and the therapists about what they are comfortable with. Years later, the Code has proven to be more and more relevant as the spa industry grows and evolves. We are grateful our past leaders created a Code that would continue to be relevant and useful—even when things in our industry get tough. It truly is a testament to our industry’s professionalism. If you haven’t had a chance to read ISPA’s Code of Conduct, please go read it! Then share it on social media, hang it in your spas, and shout it from the rooftops! As leaders in the industry, it is our responsibility to let the rest of the world know that, no matter what, we’re committed to the notion that spas are places of wellbeing, renewal, comfort and security. Thank you for supporting our industry and standing strong! —LYNNE McNEES, ISPA PRESIDENT Click here to download a copy of the Code of Conduct or visit the ISPA Blog for tips on how to use the Code in your spa. 64 PULSE ■ January/February 2018 CONNECT WITH ME ON FACEBOOK!
