US$16.8 billion Total revenue is estimated to have increased by 3.1 percent, up from US$16.3 billion
in 2015 to US$16.8 billion in 2016. The increase in spa revenues was driven by a rising number of spa visits and
growth in the number of spa locations. The 2016 out-turn represented the seventh year in a row of
positive growth in revenues , following the decline that resulted from the 2009 Great Recession.
