Nerdery and geekdom have their place for sure, but it shouldn’t prevent people from shaking things up, and it seems that the Shanghai audience is very receptive to jazz music that pushes the fold. This Autumn, both Shanghai Jazz Festival and JZ Festival will host a myriad of acts who will challenge the preconceptions of what jazz is and should be.
