different fish can be found alongside which gives good ideas on setting up a biotope specific setup. The-
se include, Paraneetroplus bulleri, Thorichthys callolepis, Thorichthys sp. "mixteco", Vieja regani, exCich-
lasoma salvini, Amphilophus trimaculatus. Non cichlids Poecilia sp, Xiphophorus helleri, Astyanax fascia-
tus and Catfish species like Rhamdia guatemalensis.
In the wild, breeding pairs are noted to turn a bright yel-
low colour, but this is very hard to simulate in the home
aquarium.
