Mission: Every 38 minutes Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of
a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition
in the United States and its territories. We believe that a
wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief
guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes
that transform the lives of the kids, families and
communities we serve.

Wish Granting Internship: The intern role will
include:
Communicate with wish families and
volunteer wish granters via phone and email
Input and manage wish data in Raiser’s Edge 
Enter in-kind contributions and write
corresponding thank you letters to donors
Plan and assemble wish itineraries/travel
packets
Work with companies to enhance wishes
through donations or staff participation
Meet with wish families to fill out wish
paperwork and help child articulate wish
Answer phones and serve as “Director of First
Impressions”
General customer service & administrative
support 
INTAKE TEAM INTERNSHIP FOCUS

Intake Team Internship: The intern role will include:
Communicate with wish medical providers,
social workers, & child life personnel
Input and manage wish data in Raiser’s Edge 
Enter medical authorization notes and details
into Raiser's Edge
Research and develop fresh ideas for collected
data
Meet with wish families to fill out wish
paperwork and help child articulate wish
Answer phones and serve as “Director of First
Impressions”
Organize, audit, & close wish files
Follow up with families and medical staff to
collect missing paperwork
General customer service & administrative
support
